Innovative leadership flourishes when educators inspire minds to think beyond boundaries and learners transform into creators of progress.

This vision took center stage as Central Mindanao Colleges formally launched the CMCian Core Attribute: Entrepreneurial Mind and Innovative Spirit during a plenary event held on November 21, 2025, at CMC Main Campus.

Organized by the Center for Business Innovation and Development (CBID) in partnership with the CABME Student Council, the launch marked an important event for CMC. It strengthened innovation and entrepreneurship as core drivers of student leadership and institutional growth. The unveiling of CBID’s direction and initiatives positioned CMC at the forefront of fostering enterprise-oriented and innovation-driven education.

A key highlight of the program was the official presentation of the CBID launch by Mr. Gianne Carlos Pascual, highlighting CMC’s strategic commitment to integrating innovation, enterprise, and academic excellence. Another significant moment was the Commitment Signing, which symbolized the collective dedication of CMC administrators, faculty, and student leaders to uphold and promote the Entrepreneurial Mind and Innovative Spirit as a defining CMCian attribute.

Complementing the launch, plenary speaker Dr. Jalaloden B. Marohom, Director of the IPTTBDO at the University of Southern Mindanao, delivered an insightful discussion on innovation management, technology commercialization, and intellectual property. His expertise reinforced the importance of applying knowledge to generate real opportunities in business, research, and development, further strengthening the core principles celebrated in the launch.

The program included opening remarks from Ms. Ruselle R. Robledo, the rationale by Ms. Janna Sison, and the introduction of the speaker by Ms. Mariel C. Cabanilla. Two open forums encouraged active engagement and critical dialogue on innovation and entrepreneurship. The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Vanissa Mae De Guzman and a photo opportunity.

Through this institutional launch, CMC affirmed its role as a place where ideas translate into action and leadership is shaped by purpose. The initiative aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, strengthening CMC’s mission to nurture responsible innovators and build future-ready communities.
