Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) actively participated in Day 1 of the ASTra (APTIK and SDG Transformation) International Lecture Series held on June 2, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. The session, hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), carried the theme: ā€œSustainability Management: Our Shared Future – Act Now or Fall Behind.ā€ The lecture featured a panel of distinguished speakers who shared expert insights on the crucial role of sustainability in business, governance, and academia: • Dr. Irenius Dwinanto Bimo (Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia) emphasized the strategic role of sustainability in shaping organizational futures. He explored evolving stakeholder expectations and highlighted the importance of the Triple Bottom Line—people, planet, and profit. • Prof. Hendrik Lamsali (Universiti Utara Malaysia) discussed the significance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks, stressing their role in maintaining planetary health and ensuring business resilience. • Dr. Dyna Rachmawati (Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala, Surabaya) connected sustainability to long-term organizational viability through her discussion on Going Concern principles and their alignment with sustainable management. The session’s theme, ā€œOur Shared Future – Act Now or Fall Behind,ā€ served as a powerful call to action, urging immediate and collective efforts in embedding sustainability into all facets of operations and decision-making. Participants were challenged to treat sustainability as a strategic imperative—not a supplementary goal. CMC’s participation in Day 1 of the ASTra International Lecture Series underscores its ongoing commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting responsible leadership in both academic and institutional spheres. As the ASTra Lecture Series progresses, CMC remains committed to continuous learning, regional collaboration, and leadership in sustainable development—ensuring ethical innovation and responsible practices are at the heart of its mission. #ASTraLectureSeries2025 #Day1SustainabilityTalks #CentralMindanaoColleges #SustainabilityLeadership #SDGsInAction #ResponsibleLeadership #GlobalCollaboration #ActNowOrFallBehind #EthicalInnovation #CMCInternationalization #CMCandBeyond #CMCLions #RoarLions
