RESTART Event: Strengthening CMCian Students’ Relationship with God

The Regeneration CMC Chapter of Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) organized an event called “RESTART!” on March 29, 2023, at the Students’ Activity Center. The aim of the event was to help students develop a stronger personal relationship with God and reinvigorate the campus ministry, which was impacted by the pandemic-induced isolation.

Acknowledging the psychological stress that students have experienced due to the pandemic, such as anxiety, burnout, loneliness, homesickness, grief, and hopelessness, the event facilitated the spiritual growth of students and promoted character education through various spiritual activities.

Open to the entire CMC community, the event was in alignment with one of CMC’s primary objectives, which is to foster a love for God, allowing young people to discover their God-given purpose and connect with a faith community.

Ms. Jazellet B. Areglado, LPT, MPC, was the featured speaker at the event. With 16 years of teaching experience and expertise on the dangerous drugs board, she was the perfect choice to enlighten students on romantic relationship decisions. She is a renowned speaker and facilitator for team building, reflection and retreats, personality development workshops, and leadership training.

The program for the event included an opening video, icebreakers, a CMC ReGeneration Audio Visual Presentation, praise and worship, a word from Pastor Leigh Areglado, and a small group gathering.

The Regeneration CMC Chapter considers the event a resounding success, hoping it will lead to revolutionary change for today’s youth, providing students with the spiritual support they require to navigate college life’s challenges and beyond.
