In a
bold display of transformational leadership in action, the Center for Student
Success (CSS) of Central Mindanao Colleges held a collaborative meeting to
advance the SucSEED Framework, Student-Centered, Unified, Collaborative Support
for Excellence, Empowerment, and Development.
Attended by representatives from the CMC Support Centers and supported by the
Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the strategic session united
academic and formation leaders to forge deeper, more responsive systems of
student support.
As the core foundation of CMCโs Student Formation Program for Freshmen, the
SucSEED Framework redefines orientation into a transformative journey of
connection, growth, and purpose. The initiative was spearheaded by Ms. Trisha
Karl Rellon, Center for Student Success Officer, and Ms. Katherine Mae G.
Abayabay, Student Activities Coordinatorโtwo advocates of purpose-driven
student engagement.
Designed in alignment with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including
SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17
(Partnerships for the Goals), the framework empowers freshmen to thrive not
only academically but personally and socially. โThis is more than a program it
is our promise to guide every student toward becoming a value-driven,
purpose-led CMCian,โ remarked Dr. Mark Gennesis B. Dela Cerna, Vice President
for Academic Affairs. โThrough SucSEED, we embed integrity, grit, and service
at the heart of our academic journey.โ
With a student-first philosophy, the program integrates mentoring, values
formation, life skills, and institutional care, ensuring every learner begins
their college life equipped for leadership, resilience, and holistic success.
