LEARN AND BE INSPIRED FROM A PERFORMER’S PERSPECTIVE THAT TRANSCENDS TO A LEGACY!
12 student theater members of CMC Teatro Pawan participated in the ARTS ONLINE of the Cultural Center of the Philippines on November 18, 2022, via Zoom.
The online event had a two-part session where it highlighted the sharing of theater experiences of actor/director, AUDIE GEMORA. Audie Gemora is a stage, television, and film actor, singer, recording artist, dancer, host, on-camera & voice talent for TV and radio commercials, director, choreographer, producer, and educator.
He is now the president of the Philippine Legitimate Stage Artist Group, or Philstage. Gemora will also be returning to play Jacob in the musical Joseph the Dreamer, alternating with Valenciano. He originated the role of Joseph in 1989 and continued to play the role during the production’s earlier runs, including the 1999 run, when he also alternated with Valenciano.
The show is directed by Paolo Valenciano. Written by Freddie Santos, based on Cam Floria’s cantata entitled Dreamer: What Really Happened to Joseph, Joseph the Dreamer is based on the biblical story of Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob.
CMC Teatro Pawan newbie Denzell John H. Villaver shared his session takeaway: “The art session gave me the motivation to pursue theater and look at the wide variety of chances that I can get in pursuing this field.” he said.
On its 9th year as a student theater guild, the organization brings another year with the theme: 𝗖𝗠𝗖 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆! 𝗕𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴!
