CMC Enhances Occupational Safety and Health through Participation in COSH Training Program
Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) participated in a training program on Construction Occupational Safety & Health (COSH) organized by RBA-Environmental Health and Safety Consultancy and Training Solution. The training was in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) as amended by Department Order No. 16 and the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 11058.
The program was conducted from April 20–23, 2023, at Centro Seafoods and Grill, South Osmeña Street, General Santos City. CMCs Physical Facilities and Safety Officer Mr. Christian A. Loaña, successfully completed the 40-hour program, which included 2 hours of Training for Trainers.
Engr. Carlito B. Pena, DOLE-OSHC Accredited Safety & Health Consultant, presented Mr. Christian A. Loaña with a Certificate of Completion on April 23, 2023, at General Santos City, Philippines, in recognition of his achievement.
The training program was conducted pursuant to the provision of PD No. 442, otherwise known as the Labor Code of the Philippines, and Rule 1030 of the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) as amended by Department Order No. 16. The program aimed to strengthen compliance with occupational safety and health standards and provide penalties for violations thereof, as mandated by Republic Act No. 11058.
